Cristiane Santos making move to bantamweight division

When Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos returns to the ring in late 2012 or early 2013 she’ll do so in a new divisional home. The former Strikeforce featherweight champ, who had her belt stripped after testing positive for steroid use and is currently serving a yearlong suspension, dominated at 145 pounds for her part though the organization always struggled to find legitimate contenders for her to face.

This Saturday night, Burrell will take on Chris Spang at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. The bout will be part of Strikeforce’s main card on Showtime. Burrell currently trains with Tuan Pharm and The Fight Firm in Philly, but is branching out to train with former UFC fighter John Howard and Bombsquad.

However, in the end Jung locked up a D’Arce Choke and sent Poirier to sleep shortly thereafter.
