If Brian Stann has his wish he’ll take care of Alessio Sakara at UFC on Fuel 2 in April and then meet Michael Bisping inside the Octagon. While he’s currently busy preparing for Sakara, “The All-American” has Bisping in his sights following comments the brash Brit made about him recently.
“I wouldn’t try to do anything but walk straight through him with a right-hand,” said Stann, in an interview with EsNewsReporting. “He called me a ‘white belt’ and said that I was ‘exposed’ so I’d love to see him put his money where his mouth is.”
Stann and Bisping are each coming off defeats at the hands of Chael Sonnen. Stann fell to Sonnen last October while Bisping dropped a decision to him in late January of this year.
“We can fight and we can solve that,” Stann concluded in the interview. “I would just like to compete against him since he made those comments.”
Stann and Sakara will be part of the main card on April 14 from Stockholm, Sweden with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira-Alexander Gustafsson in headlining action.

MMATraining Take: Stann-Bisping would make perfect sense, and the two have been calling each other out for a few months now. In the middleweight division’s pecking order, this bout would also help sort it out a little. A win by either man would keep them amongst the contenders, while the loser would drop quite a few pegs down. Also, health permitting, why not make the fight for the July 7 card in honor of July 4th Weekend? Talk about a fight that would be easy to promote and guaranteed to sell a bunch of tickets.
