Fans to pick cover-athlete for UFC Undisputed 3
Posted by Richard Parker
In an extremely fan-friendly move, the UFC and THQ are allowing the public to pick who will grace the cover of UFC Undisputed 3 when the game drops in January 2012. Past fighters who have been on the cover include former champs Brock Lesnar and Forrest Griffin.
The five options for the upcoming title are Frank Edgar, Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, and Cain Velasquez – all of whom currently hold titles in the UFC.
The move to bring fans’ opinions in on the process was announced earlier today through the UFC’s website where Dana White explained, “We are excited to let fans choose the cover athlete for UFC Undisputed 3. Frankie, Georges, Anderson, Jon, and Cain are five of the most popular athletes in our sport and each wants to be on the cover. We love making our fans a part of the process and we’ll leave this one up to them.”
To vote, visit THQ’s related webpage anytime between today and September 30. In addition to simply helping decide who will be on the cover, certain submissions will also enter select participants in a contest to win tickets to a future live event.
