Mark Hominick to Fight at TKO 35

MMATraining.com has learned that Mark “The Machine” Hominick’s next bout will take place in Montreal at TKO 35 Friday October 3, 2008 live from the Bell Centre. Hominick confirmed the news early Thursday morning.
Hominick (16-8), a UFC, WEC and Affliction veteran is a 9 time champion of TKO and will once again headline for the Canadian MMA organization. Hominick is coming off an impressive victory at Affliction’s inaugural card in July, in which he submitted Savant Young with an armbar in the second round.
An opponent has not been named yet, but Hominick will likely headline the Main Event of the show, as he has been one of Canada’s most popular fighters for years.
TKO is Canada’s largest MMA promotion and has groomed the careers of Sam Stout, Chris Horodecki, Georges St. Pierre, Patrick Cote and Hominick. Expect to see a large crowd for Hominick’s first fight in TKO since December of 2007, as TKO averages close to 8,000 fans an event, but that should increase with a homegrown star like Hominick in the Main event.

Thanks for the news.
This is big for me since I live 20 minutes from Montreal. I’ll be attending this card now.
TKO events are pretty nuts when they have a good card. Their production is just like the UFC, just less fans.
