It didn’t take long for Josh Koscheck to call out Johny Hendricks after the UFC announced the two of them would face off on the main card of UFC on FOX 3 this May. Notoriously outspoken when it comes to opponents, Koscheck immediately questioned Hendricks’ manhood in terms of a willingness to fight aggressively as opposed to taking a slow-paced, defensive style.
Hendricks has now responded to Koscheck’s claim and, considering he knocked out the Californian’s good friend and former training partner Jon Fitch in his last outing, the bearded brawler made it clear he’ll be ready to strike come showtime.
“I am excited for this fight. I figured that I would be fighting him and the only thing I can think of is I hope he is ready to do some stand up,” said the 12-1 Hendricks in a conversation with Five Ounces of Pain.
A decorated collegiate wrestler, Hendricks has actually won more than half of his fights via TKO including Fitch, T.J. Waldburger, Charlie Brenneman, and Amir Sadollah.

MMATraining Take: I fully believe Hendricks can and will knock Koscheck out, especially if “Kos” looks anything like he did in his last fight. Hendricks’ wrestling is good enough to fend Koscheck’s off and he packs lead in his fists.
