When polarizing pugilist Josh Koscheck enters the Octagon this winter it will be different year than the last time he took to the cage. It could also be in a different division.
Last seen in December 2010 gutting out a decision loss to Georges St. Pierre after having his orbital bone broken early on in the title-fight, “Kos” went on Twitter and wrote, “My next fight is in SAN JOSE, Cali. NOV 19th Good chance fighting at 185lbs. Should know real soon who.”
If he does indeed fight as a middleweight it would mark the first time the 15-5 grappler has done so in more than five years since he was part of the groundbreaking first season of TUF. While no opponent was listed, rival Chris Leben is already scheduled for a fight in November and is essentially off the table as a possibility. However, one of his other Ultimate Fighter Season 1 alumni may still be an option – Stephan Bonnar.
“The American Psycho” and Koscheck recently directed a number of verbal jabs at each other through various media outlets relating to Bonnar’s “Trash Talkin’ Kids” T-Shirt line. Koscheck filed suit against the fan-favorite’s apparel company after a shirt using a likeness of his image was created, a move irking Bonnar to the point of saying he’d cut significant weight for a chance to get his hands on the AKA-trained product.
