Last weekend’s bout at UFC on FOX 3 between Josh Koscheck and Johny Hendricks was unquestionably a close affair judges could have scored for either. The two talented welterweights went at it for fifteen minutes with each landing some stiff shots throughout. In the end Hendricks walked away with a Split Decision win and Koscheck seriously swollen eye-socket (as well as a bruised ego).
Now that he’s had some time to reflect on the match-up it looks like Koscheck has taken issue with the outcome and is seeking a shot at redemption.
“Just watched the fight again. First and third round were mine,” wrote Koscheck on Twitter. “Maybe a rematch five-round fight this time? What you say Hendricks?”
Hendricks hasn’t responded to Koscheck’s challenge though after their fight he explained he planned to wait for a title-shot in case one was offered. The 28-year old Oklahoman has won his last four fights and is considered to be neck-and-neck with Jake Ellenberger as the division’s top contenders.

MMATraining Take: Here’s an idea – how about Koscheck gives Mike Pierce a rematch first since his win at UFC 143 was equally close to Hendricks’ last weekend?
