Kalib Starnes Wins In Hawaii

Former UFC fighter and cast member of Season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter Kalib Starnes got his first win since being dropped from the UFC last April at Destiny MMA on Saturday night in Honolulu, Hawaii. The win came 4:47 into round 2, an armbar victory over Chris Sisneros. His original opponent, Kala Hose pulled out at the last minute.

Starnes, (9-3) suffered an embarrassing lopsided decision loss to Nate Quarry at UFC 83 in Montreal in April. The UFC gave him his walking papers just a week later. He’ll now look to continue his winning ways outside of the Octagon. Starnes will likely want to step up in competition, given that this was Sisneros first professional fight.
