You can remove the TBD from Mark Hominick’s opponent’s name for Affliction Trilogy August 1st. MMATraining.com can confirm that Hominick has his opponent lined up for the Affliction Event August 1st in Anaheim.
He will be taking on IFL veteran Deividas Taurosevicius in a great 145 lbs match up. Taurosevicius is 10-3 in his pro career and has wins over Dan Lauzon, Savant Young and Bart Palaszewski. The native of Lithuania has losses to Ryan Shultz and Frankie Edgar. Taurosevicius is a natural 155 lbs fighter and will be making the drop to face the ever dangerous Hominick.
Hominick is coming off a submission win over Savant Young at Affliction 1 back in July of 2008. He was scheduled to compete at Affliction II versus LC Davis, but was forced to withdraw a week away from the fight with a bad case of pneumonia. Hominick, 16-8 will be joined on the card with training partner Chris Horodecki who will be taking on Dan Lauzon.
“I’m really excited to be fighting on Affliction 3. It’s a tough fight, but they are all tough at this level.” Said Hominick Tuesday night.
Hominick will spend the remaining weeks of his training camp at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas.
