Pair of fights announced for January UFC show on FX
Posted by Dan Becks
A pair of bouts have been confirmed by the UFC for the organization’s debut on the FX Network in 2012. According to an official statement on the promotion’s website, Pat Barry will meet Christian Morecraft and Duane Ludwig takes on Josh Neer.
The card is rumored to take place on January 20 in Nashville though nothing has been confirmed regarding a location yet.
FX is set to broadcast six UFC events in 2012 as part of the multi-year, multi-million dollar contract signed between the combat sports company and FOX Network.
Barry (6-4) has lost his last two fights inside the Octagon, falling to Cheick Kongo and Stefan Struve. Morecraft (7-2) has split his two UFC bouts. Neer (32-10-1) returned to the UFC with a win over Keith Wisniewski earlier this year, while Ludwig (22-11) stopped Amir Sadollah.

MMATraining Take: Hopefully the FX shows get solid main events and great cards just to bring in more UFC viewers. FX is a great network that reaches a different variety of viewers, so if the UFC does a proper job of building cards and FOX promotes them to the fullest, we could see some great events.
