Pat Barry battles Lavar Johnson in May on FOX

The UFC has added what should be nothing short of a thrilling heavyweight war, as Pat Barry and Lavar Johnson will tangle at UFC on FOX 3. UFC officials reported the bout late Wednesday night.
UFC on FOX 3 takes place May 5 from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The main event for the card will pit Jim Miller against Nate Diaz in a five-round affair. Barry-Johnson is slated for the main card of the show.
Barry evened his UFC mark at 4-4 with an incredible victory over Christian Morecraft last month. “HD” fought off several submission maneuvers before finishing the fight and improving to 7-4 in his career.
Johnson, who rose up through the Strikeforce Challengers series ranks, won his Octagon debut by knocking out Joey Beltran last weekend at UFC on FOX 2. Johnson (16-5) earned Knockout of the Night honors and sent Beltran packing from the UFC in the process.

MMATraining Take: This is a perfect match up for both men, as Barry and Johnson are smaller heavyweights. Expect plenty of strikes, leg kicks and a likely knockout that should bring the crowd to their feet.
