Former UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has made it known that he is finished with the UFC. Jackson, who has been on a verbal assault against his current employer for the past few weeks, again elaborated on his situation via Twitter earlier today.
“Let me clear things up for my fans. I’m upset cause I’ve been fighting hurt for a few years now, cause I have kids and for ya’ll,” Jackson wrote. “The UFC knew I was hurt in almost every fight I was hurt in, but instead of saying thanks for not pulling out, they talk sh*t about a poor job I did.”
“Rampage” lost his last outing to Ryan Bader and has dropped three of his last four fights overall. Currently, Jackson has one bout remaining on his contract though he has made it known publicly that he would rather be released now than finish the deal out.
Jackson added he was upset no one from the UFC asked him why he missed weight for the Bader fight, instead ignoring his injury suffered during training, summing it up by saying, “I’m done with them.”

MMATraining Take: The prospects for Jackson to fight outside of the Zuffa umbrella of the UFC and Strikeforce are slim, and even he realizes that he will receive less money by fighting elsewhere. It remains to even be seen if the UFC and Jackson can come to some sort of an agreement or if fans we will see “Rampage” inside another cage or even a boxing ring down the road.
