Rich Franklin to move up weight class to fight Hamill

Reports are that Rich Franklin will be taking on Matt Hamill at 205 lbs at UFC 88 in Atlanta, GA. The event takes place September 9, 2008. MMAJunkie.com first broke the news that Rich may move from 185 lbs to 205 lbs for a fight or two in the future. However, MMArated is reporting that the move for Franklin is sooner than we expected. Franklin, the former middleweight champion used to fight at 205 lbs to begin his career, but found out he was more suited at 185.

Hamill, the former college wrestler and Ultimate Fighter 3 participant has only lost once in his pro career, which was a controversial decision to Micheal Bisping at UFC 75.
