Technique of the Day: Clinch-Work with Jorge Rivera

Friday night marked the final time widely-respected veteran Jorge Rivera will take to the cage as a competitor. A longtime veteran of the UFC, the 20-9 Massachusetts native fittingly took out his opponent at UFC on FX 1 , Eric Schafer, with strikes to close out a solid career with his fourteenth strike-based finish.
In this MMATraining Technique of the Day, watch a brief clip of Rivera teaching a group of Marines about effectively throwing knees in a clinch. There is certainly knowledge to be had in the video but more importantly it also shows the type of man Rivera truly is…
