UFC hits FOX airwaves for hour-long special on Sunday

Until now, the UFC’s only real presence on FOX had involved some well-crafted promotional spots during NFL and MLB games. However, this Sunday the stakes will be upped with a sixty-minute UFC Primetime related to next month’s UFC on FOX 1 event.

Fans can catch the special when it airs before or after FOX’s afternoon NFL game depending on the market meaning interested parties should consult their programming guide to make sure they don’t miss out.

Though past Primetimes have been split into multiple parts the hour-long feature will condense the build into one chunk with likely segments including a “real time” look at heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez and top contender Junior dos Santos preparing for the festivities on November 12.

Other match-ups on the landmark event include Pablo Garza vs. Dustin Poirier and >Ben Henderson vs. Clay Guida.

MMATraining Take: I’ll definitely have my DVR set. Not only am I salivating like a hungry dog in front of a steak dinner for the actual bout between JDS and Cain but I love the Primetime treatment and look forward to seeing what’s going on “behind the scenes” with each.
