Fans are a day way from witnessing history in the form of Dominick Cruz putting his bantamweight championship up for grabs against 9-1 Demetrious Johnson at UFC Live 6, the first time a UFC title has been defended on the Versus Network.
Main card action starts Saturday night at 8:00 PM EST with preliminary bouts streaming through Facebook at approximately 5:45 PM EST. Joining Cruz and Johnson on the televised broadcast will be a number of interesting match-ups including Pat Barry vs. Stefan Struve and Anthony Johnson vs. Charlie Brenneman.
However, before anything could become official, all twenty individuals scheduled to compete tomorrow night in Washington D.C. took to the stage earlier today in hopes of hitting their weight-related marks, and, fortunately, all succeeded with the exception of a late replacement in an undercard bout meaning the event should still go on as originally planned.

MMATraining Take: UFC Live 6 should play out to be an excellent card featuring two fast-paced, technique-driven bantamweights in headlining action, a slugfest likely resulting in a knockout just prior to the main event, and a bunch of other potentially solid affairs including Johnson vs. Brenneman, Danzig vs. Wiman, Edwards vs. Oliveira, and Sass vs. Johnson. Events on Versus don’t come much better than this one and any fans who decide to skip the show will almost certainly be missing out.
