UFC on FOX 2 bonus winners garner an extra $65,000

Saturday night’s UFC on FOX 2 card was held on both FUEL TV and FOX, allowing fight fans to see nearly the entire evening of action. As usual, the UFC was very generous with rewarding exciting finishes, three of which came in bonus-winning performances on the undercard
Scoring his third Submission of the Night was Charles Oliveira who was making hsi featherweight debut. “Do Bronx” put away Eric Wisely in the opening round with a Calf Slicer.
Meanwhile, Knockout of the Night went to Lavar Johnson, who dropped Joey Beltran in his UFC debut. Johnson, a regular on the Strikeforce Challengers series, stormed Beltran in the first round, connecting with a serious upper-cut that nearly downed Beltran. A few punches later, and Johnson was telling the crowd to show him the money inside the Octagon.
Finally, Fight of the Night honors were given to Evan Dunham and Nik Lentz after the two lightweights put on a war. Dunham ended the battle after two rounds, opening a cut under the eye of Lentz that left him unable to continue.
UFC on FOX 2 featured a main event of Rashad Evans against Phil Davis. None of the three Fox fights featured finishes meaning all three bonuses came from the prelims.

MMATraining Take: This is why the new FOX deal with the UFC is right for MMA fans, as we get to see the undercard. While having the prelims available before via live stream on Facebook, getting to watch them with all the familiar surroundings of your TV makes it even more enjoyable.
