UFC releases preview for UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem

With the end of UFC 140, that means it is time to prepare for UFC 141. The UFC recently released a video promo for UFC 141, a highly-anticipated event featuring Brock Lesnar taking on Alistair Overeem.
UFC 141 goes down December 30 from Las Vegas, Nevada. Lesnar-Overeem will serve as a No. 1 contender match for the UFC heavyweight title, meaning the winner will face current UFC champ Junior dos Santos in 2012.
Lesnar is an ex-UFC champ and former WWE Superstar, who is returning from a serious bout with diverticulitis. He has not competed since losing the title to Cain Velasquez in 2010
Overeem was the Strikeforce heavyweight champ before signing with the UFC. Rumors of him possibly being forced out of the fight seem to be just rumors, as UFC president Dana White confirmed the fight is still a go.
Other fights for UFC 141 include Nate Diaz vs. Donald Cerrone and Johny Hendricks against Jon Fitch.

MMATraining Take: This bout is going to be epic! I can hardly wait to see how Lesnar’s superior wrestling matches up against Overeem’s powerful, precise stand-up. If forced to pick I’d go with the Dutchman by a hair given Brock’s past struggles with striking.
