Wednesday, September 17
Training in London again and training had to be altered again to ensure I did not reopen my cut that I got stitched up. We began with 15 minutes of conditioning followed by 3X5mins of shadow boxing 1 minute intervals with 1 minute intervals of pummeling with a partner. After the rounds we finished with 5X5mins of small glove MMA sparring. I could feel a little cautioned with my sparring because of the cut but it forced me to work more takedowns and ensure I was on top.
Tonight I came in with the intention of working purely stand up. I began with 15 minutes of skipping followed by 3X5 minutes of shadow boxing. After the warm up I finished with 3X5mins of Thai Pad work. It felt good to let loose on the pads and let my combinations flow like they should.
Thursday, September 18
Back in Toronto today at Xtreme Couture. Coach Nick was concered about my cut and did not want me wrestling with the group today, so after the 30 minutes of conditioning and 30 minutes of drilling and technique I finished with 5X5 minutes of heavy bag and double end ball work. I am actually a little pleased that the last couple of days I have had the opportunity to work my striking endurance and timing. I know that if I catch JC on the end of my punch I will put him down.
