After suffering a four-fight losing streak, UFC welterweight Dan Hardy will aim to flip the script at start a run of consecutive victories starting on September 29 at UFC on Fuel 5. Hardy, who is coming off a knockout win over Duane Ludwig, will face Amir Sadollah at the event who himself is also coming off a successful showing inside the Octagon.

UFC officials have confirmed the match-up, following their trend of placing British fighters on the Nottingham-based show.

Hardy holds an overall record of 24-10 including UFC wins over Ludwig, Mike Swick, and Marcus Davis. Half of his wins have involved some form of strike-based stoppage.

Comparably, Sadollah has gone 6-3 since making his professional debut in the final of TUF 7. He was last seen eking out a Split Decision against Jorge Lopez last month at UFC on Fuel 3.

UFC on Fuel 5 is headlined by heavyweights Stipe Miocic-Stefan Struve and also features bouts such as Ludwig-Che Mills and Matt Wiman-Paul Sass.

MMATraining Take: This fight may not have a ton of divisional impact but it should be incredibly fun to watch! Hardy/Sadollah both tend to favor stand-up over grappling with a nice blend of kicks/punches. Their meeting may not result in a knockout but it will certainly be a Fight of the Night contender.
