It looks like one of the most familiar faces on HDNet’s MMA programming won’t be seen on the network anytime soon if ever again. According to multiple reports, broadcaster/fighter Frank Trigg has been fired based on an inappropriate relationship he started with an assistant producer at HDNet nearly half his age.

Were that not bad enough, news has also surfaced showing the 39-year old Trigg was also charged in a domestic violence case where he is alleged to have choked his wife in front of their children this past October.

Word of the incidents was first reported by pop-culture outlet The Dirty.

“Twinkle Toes” typically handled commentary with Michael Schiavello on live HDNet MMA events. He also occasionally fights as well though hasn’t stepped into the cage since September 2011. Trigg holds an overall record of 21-9 with wins over the likes of Kazuo Misaki, Dennis Hallman, and Jason Miller.

MMATraining Take: I definitely people are innocent until proven guilty in situations like this but based on some pictures of Trigg’s wife’s neck it’s hard to let him off the hook. Hopefully the truth will surface at some point whether it’s as damning as the allegations or clear his name.
