The UFC has released a highlight reel for fans interested in re-living some of the best moments from the two tilts at the top of the UFC 143 lineup featuring heavyweights Roy Nelson-Fabricio Werdum and welterweights Nick Diaz-Carlos Condit. Werdum and Condit both came out ahead on the scorecards when things were said and done though not as a result of any missing effort from their game adversaries.

In the case of Werdum-Nelson, the polished Brazilian’s Muay Thai made the difference as evident in the brief video where he is seen blasting Nelson in the face with a knee. The shot opened Nelson’s forehead up and marked the beginning of the end for “Big Country” who still fought on valiantly.

Meanwhile, the MMA community is still buzzing about the outcome in Diaz’s duel with Condit after “The Natural Born Killer” refused to engage in any significant striking exchanges, instead picking his shots carefully and actively moving around.

Check out the highlight clip below:

MMATraining Take: My only criticism is that I would have rather seen another minute (or 90 seconds) added on to capture some of the undercard offerings, especially since Knockout of the Night and Submission of the Night both took place during the prelims and were sights to behold. Showing the world that all fighters are worth watching is the way to go rather than those in two select bouts.
