Flyweight contender Ian McCall will return to the Octagon next month when he meets John Moraga at UFC on FOX 4. The bout, which was confirmed earlier today by UFC officials, rounds out a card many felt might have been full already based on its August 4 date.

UFC on FOX 4 is headlined by Mauricio Rua-Brandon Vera with other featured bouts including Joe Lauzon-Jamie Varner and Ryan Bader-Lyoto Machida.

McCall is coming off a hard-fought loss to Demetrious Johnson in a bout set to determine one of the contenders to the newly-created divisional belt. He holds an overall record of 11-3.

The 10-1 Moraga will be making his UFC debut in the bout. He is currently on a four-fight winning streak with five submissions to his credit.

MMATraining Take: It’s strange to see the UFC book a guy like McCall with only two weeks to go before the event but I’m sure he’ll be fine performance-wise. I don’t know much about Moraga so much will be learned by the end of their bout in terms of his potential.
