After a weekend of free fights on FOX, the UFC was back on PPV with a title-fight no less, as lightweight champion Benson Henderson put his belt on the line against Frankie Edgar on Saturday night in the main event at UFC 150. The two met months ago, fighting to a closely-contested decision seeing Henderson emerge with the title Edgar had worn for a few years.

This time around Edgar mounted more of an attack, even dropping “Bendo” at one point, but couldn’t do enough to earn the judges’ favor after the five-round rumble had expired. However, many viewers felt Edgar actually deserved the nod, though ultimately Henderson still walked away with the Split Decision victory.

The show also featured Jake Shields’ return to the middleweight division where he held gold in Strikeforce, as well as 155-pounders Donald Cerrone and Melvin Guillard going at it full blast despite being friendly outside of the Octagon. Shields earned a plodding decision win over Herman, admitting the elevation of Denver affected his performance, while Cerrone wowed fans by plastering Guillard in the first frame.
