Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey are trying to make their mark in the world of MMA as the best female fighter in the world.

This evening, in the main event of Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey, Tate will put her bantamweight title on the line against the former Olympian. The main card will be televised live on Showtime, while the prelims are on Showtime Extreme.

At Friday’s weigh-ins, Tate and Rousey continued to show they have zero respect for the other, coming nose-to-nose at the face-off.

“For the record, she touched my forehead first,” posted Rousey on her Twitter account. “Gotta go eat, I’m disappearing from the tweetverse till after the fight.”

Tate had a different opinion on what happened, writing on her own Twitter page, “Ronda things she’s tough she tries WAY too hard, such a phony person & she’ll probably get fined for trying to headbutt me when I got in her face.”

Catch the two tussle when the broadcast starts tonight at 10:00 PM EST.

MMATraining Take: These two are doing their best to promote their fight, having taken to Twitter, radio shows and any interview they can to call the other one out. It remains to be seen if this bout tops Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos-Gina Carano, but in terms of pre-fight hype, it already has.
