For the first time in more than four years the coaches from a freshly-ended season of the Ultimate Fighter faced off in the main event at the attached finale with tonight’s bout involving entertaining middleweights Michael Bisping and Jason Miller. On the line for both were not only bragging rights but a potential showdown with Chael Sonnen to determine the top contender to Anderson Silva‘s divisional championship.

On tap, of course, the Ultimate Fighter 14 seasonal titles were also up for grabs with the match-ups involving John Dodson vs. TJ Dillashaw (bantamweight) and Dennis Bermudez vs. Diego Brandao (featherweight).

Dodson came away with the strike-based stoppage after landing a perfectly timed punch to Dillashaw’s grill, while Brandao abandoned the TKO route by tapping out Bermudez with a powerful Armbar that did significant damage to Bermudez’s limb. In the main event Bisping came away with the win after showing superiority in the stand-up department, damaging Miller and putting him away with strikes in the third round of their bout.
