The twenty fighters set to compete Saturday night in Denver at UFC 135 all stepped on the scale earlier today with the entire lot making weight meaning the event will go on as originally scheduled. However, just because things went according to plan doesn’t mean the festivities weren’t without their share of fireworks.

Headliners Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson exchanged a number of nasty words while taking part in the obligatory staredown, while Junior Assuncao and Nick Ring both pushed opponents Eddie Yagin and Tim Boetsch with their foreheads during their particularly intense face-offs.

Fans can catch Jones’ defense of his light heavyweight title against Jackson on the PPV portion of the card starting at 9:00 PM EST while the other quartet of competitors will throw down on the preliminary portion of the event through Facebook (Assuncao/Yagin) and Spike TV (Ring/Boetsch) a few hours earlier.

Here is a full rundown of UFC 135 weights:

Ricardo Romero (205 lbs) vs. James Te Huna (205 lbs)
Cole Escovedo (135 lbs) vs. Takeya Mizugaki (135 lbs)
Junior Assuncao (145 lbs) vs. Eddie Yagin (145 lbs)
Tim Boetsch (186 lbs) vs. Nick Ring (185 lbs)
Tony Ferguson (155 lbs) vs. Aaron Riley (155 lbs)
Nate Diaz (156 lbs) vs. Takanori Gomi (155 lbs)
Travis Browne (255 lbs) vs. Rob Broughton (261 lbs)
Ben Rothwell (263 lbs) vs. Mark Hunt (261 lbs)
Matt Hughes (170 lbs) vs. Josh Koscheck (170.5 lbs)
Jon Jones (204 lbs) vs. Quinton Jackson (204 lbs)

MMATraining Take: Even though “Rampage” is known for taking verbal jabs at his opponents I wasn’t sure he’d be able to manufacture drama with Jones given the champion’s typically easy-going attitude. However, ever since allegations of a spy in Jackson’s camp came up the beef between the two has continued to escalate. I’m glad they maintained their professionalism earlier today at the weigh-ins but I’ve got to admit I’m more excited about the fight now than I would have been if things had stayed all business.
