Ultimate Fighter winner Ross Pearson found himself locked inside a different sort of cage than he’s typically used to this past weekend after being arrested by authorities in Las Vegas for suspicion of DUI. Pearson was seen swerving in his car and then issued a field sobriety test which he failed.

Pearson spent the night in jail and was released the following morning. He has not released any sort of official comment on the matter.

TMZ was first to report the situation.

The 27-year old Brit holds an overall record of 13-5 and is scheduled to face Cub Swanson at UFC on FX 4 in June. He is in Vegas as part of Dominick Cruz’s coaching staff attached to the current season of TUF.

MMATraining Take: It always baffles me when a guy with a good amount of money and a reputation to protect gets caught driving drunk. It’s Las Vegas. Are there not hundreds of cabs/limos available? Does he not have friends who can give him a lift or who were around him at the time to say he should hold off on driving?
