Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson will get something even better than they had hoped.

Both Benavidez and Johnson were wishing to be part of an upcoming pay-per-view as they compete for the UFC flyweight title.

Well, the two will headline a card, as the UFC recently confirmed the Benavidez-Johnson flyweight tournament final will serve as the main event for UFC 152 in Toronto on September 22.

Both advanced with victories in the semifinals, though it took “Mighty Mouse” a second try to do away with Ian McCall. Benavidez, meanwhile, has waited on the sidelines since downing Yasihiro Urushitani.

These two join a card that includes the recently-announced Brian Stann vs. Michael Bisping, and a returning BJ Penn to take on Rory MacDonald.

MMA Training Take: Good for Benavidez and Johnson to earn the trust of the UFC brass to be able to sell a big-time event like a pay-per-view. This fight should be exciting for as long as it goes, and there are several big names to help the two promote the fight..
