Those that prefer to stream UFC content live will soon have another venue to do so, as the UFC announced a partnership with XBox Live beginning December 20. The first pay-per-view event taking place through the service will be UFC 141 featuring Brock Lesnar taking on Alistair Overeem over New Year’s Eve Weekend with the winner moving on to fight for the company’s heavyweight title.

Along with live PPVs, UFC on XBox Live will also feature on-demand videos including event previews, UFC Countdowns, press conferences, weigh-ins, interviews and workouts with the entire bunch being streamed in HD.

Fans will also be able to toy with an Interactive Fight Card, including fight picks, match-ups breakdowns, tales of the tape, and an interactive message board.

MMATraining Take: It’s nice to see the UFC continuing to establish themselves through a variety of media platforms with a major push on Twitter and upgrades to online streaming two examples from the past year. The XBOX Live feature sounds like a great way to give instant access to hardcore fans or introduce newer MMA enthusiasts through a comfortable format.
